Flower bulb cultivation was introduced to northern Holland by prosperous merchants from Haarlem and Amsterdam in the 16th Century. The Sandy region between Leiden and Haarlem has been the hub of bulb cultivation ever since. This region includes the famous 70-acre Keukenhof garden, whose 3,500 different varieties of bulbs in bloom attracts thousands of visitors each spring.
With generations of expertise behind them and absolutely perfect growing conditions in the renowned growing regions, there are few who can equal the Dutch growers!
